Salesforce Promises Smarter, Faster Sales with SalesforceIQ

CRM giant Salesforce is working as hard as it can to help companies work as smart as they can. The company just announced SalesforceIQ, which is it positioning as the future of selling for every business.

Relationship Intelligence technology undergirds SalesforceIQ for Small Business and Salesforce IQ for Sales Cloud. The tech taps into advanced data science to analyze company relationships with prospects, customers and partners. Could it transform businesses, as Salesforce suggests?

"Today's massive influx in communication data creates powerful signals about the health and potential of business relationships. It also creates a lot of noise," said Steve Loughlin, CEO of SalesforceIQ at Salesforce, in a statement. "With SalesforceIQ, companies can now make sense of this data and pull out insights to drive their businesses forward with intelligence."

Driving Sales Success

Salesforce is pointing to data to back up the need for its latest innovation. For example, the digital universe is doubling in size every two years, which gives companies raw material to sell smarter. However, companies are still struggling to extract the right data and deliver the data-driven insights that help employees sell more effectively, according to IDC's "The Digital Universe of Opportunities: Rich Data and the Increasing Value of the Internet of Things" study.

SalesforceIQ aims to eliminate that struggle by making it possible for companies to leverage data-driven insights to deepen customer relationships and accelerate deals through the pipeline. Salesforce points to a recent statement from the Gartner Agenda Overview for CRM and Customer Experience: "Winners in this world will figure out how to surface the most valuable insights, not just raw data, to sales people in a mobile environment to drive their professional activities."

Relationship intelligence captures, analyzes and surfaces relevant CRM information from e-mail, calendars and other data stores and identifies patterns that create actionable insights into future outcomes....
