Boost Launches Unlimited Mobile Plans

The word of the day for Boost Mobile is "unlimited." The no-contract pre-paid wireless carrier just rolled out three EUMonthly Unlimited SelectEU plans with prices starting at $40 a month.

Aimed at the value-conscious consumer, all three plans include unlimited talk, text and data. The key difference is the thresholds and speeds.

Dow Draper, president of Sprint Prepaid Group (the company that powers Boost Mobile) is hoping the new plans will even out the playing field with competitively priced offers. He said, EUThis new package reflects what we hear our customers want: straightforward, value-oriented options that provide more or less data depending on their individual needs.EU

A Tiered Approach

LetEUs drill deeper into the pricing plans. For $40 a month, you can get any Boost phone, including the Samsung Galaxy S5 starting on May 19, with unlimited talk and text and unlimited data. The $40 plan offers 500MB of high speed data. The speed slows after you hit the limit.

By contrast, the $50 a month plan offers unlimited talk and text with 2.5 GB of high speed data. Finally, the $60 plan offers unlimited talk and text with 5GB of high speed data.

Boost also offers value-added features like the Boost Mobile Wallet, a mobile payment solution powered by Wipit. Boost Mobile Wallet lets you make payments and manage cash without carrying money or credit cards. Boost Mobile is also offering International Minute Packs that let you only buy what you need for international calling.
