AT&T Rolls Out Rollover Data

AT&T is rolling back to a promotion that has worked in the past. In addition to Rollover Minutes on the voice side, the wireless carrier is now offering Rollover Data beginning Jan. 25.

All new and current AT&T Mobile Share Value customers will automatically receive the Rollover Data feature at no additional cost. That means customersEU shareable data plans can be extended another 30 days if all the bandwidth isnEUt used up in their billing cycles.

Here are specifics on how it works: Rollover Data can be shared with everyone on the same Mobile Share Value plan. If you do not use your entire data plan allotment in a given month, the extra amount automatically rolls over and is available to be used within the next month. When the next month rolls around, you will use your planEUs original data allowance before using your Rollover Data. Unused Rollover Data does not carry over to the following month.

Rollover Heaven

Want a practical example? Think about it this way. If you have four lines on a 15 GB AT&T Mobile Share Value Plan and only use 10 GB in a given month, youEUll roll over 5 GB and have a total of 20 GB available to use within the next month. Now, if you were to only use 10 GB in the second month, youEUll again roll over 5 GB and have a total of 20 GB available the next month.

EUThis gives you that extra data to do the things you love across all your devices, like surfing the Web, watching videos, listening to your favorite music or sending e-mail,EU AT&T said in its announcement. Is it too good to be true? Independent technology analyst Jeff Kagan said itEUs good and true.

Kagan told us AT&T Mobility started the whole rollover concept years ago...
