Adobe Unveils Next-Gen Creative Cloud 2015

A new version of AdobeEUs flagship Creative Cloud suite, including updates to Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, is now available, the company said Tuesday. The versions will also come with connected mobile apps for iOS and Android devices.

Adobe also announced an expanded Creative Cloud enterprise offering that includes enterprise-grade administration, security, collaboration and publishing services for brands, businesses and large organizations.

In addition to updating the cloud-based versions of its most popular software, Adobe is also adding enhanced support for mobile device integration and a new stock content service, called Adobe Stock. Stock will provide access to 40 million photos, vector graphics and illustrations, and integrate directly into Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects and InDesign.

Drive to Mobile

Increased functionality and support for mobile devices seem to be the chief drivers behind AdobeEUs latest update to the Creative Cloud. The 2015 release, which is available immediately to all Creative Cloud subscribers, includes new mobile apps that promise to deepen the connection between desktop and mobile workflows.

The company released Android versions of its Brush, Shape, Color and Photoshop Mix apps for the first time, while updating its existing apps for iOS devices. It also debuted a new app across both platforms, called Hue. Hue lets mobile users capture and share high-quality lighting and color schemes by using an iPhone camera and applying these light and color moods into Premiere Pro or After Effects projects.

The launch of Stock heralds a new entrant into the $3 billion stock images market. In addition to being able to purchase images directly through applications like Photoshop, users will also be able to sell their images to Adobe through Stock.

Creative Cloud 2015 also has plenty of new features for enterprise clients, including expanded security options and deeper integration with Adobe Digital Publishing Solution and Marketing...
